Our video series continues with Dan and Christian Van Hala discussing a new topic. A lot of our videos and blogs are about our products, planetary gears and all that. But this week, we thought we'd talk about something fun that Matex is doing.
*below is a transcription of the video.
Matex Products has a neat application where we help universities here in North America and across the world with something called a formula SAE competition. This is where students get together, it's like a club activity, and they build small scale formula racing cars (hybrid technology).
It's great for getting these kids into STEM and engineering. We help with some partnerships inside this program: giving the kids a discount, making sure they can get their car rolling down the track, and ensuring this great opportunity pans out for them.
It's a great opportunity for Matex to make contacts for future. These guys are all going out into the world, some of the best and brightest, and this is a cool competition. We provide gearing for these cars and for these students. And the cars are pretty sweet.
These students are so enthusiastic about SAE and you can really see the love they have for engineering. It's great to help them out along the way and Matex loves being a part of this program.
If you or your university is involved with Formula SAE or SAE (International Society of Automotive Engineers), please reach out to Matex Products and we'll see what we can do to help you get your car rolling.
