Matex Creates Easily Stack-able Gears, Made to Fit

Matex Gears manufactures and sells planetary gears and accessories.  When engineers and product or project managers are trying to hit that right reduction ratio, it can be hard to find gear components to do that without buying a full part. 

One of the many great things about our product is that it's very easily stack-able. So if you needs multiple reduction or a higher reduction ratio, we can stack our gears together very easily. Our video shows a little demonstration of how that works and looks.

Demonstrating the Stack Ability of Our Gears

In this demonstration, we're looking at an MLD, a 75 millimeter gear. This is one of our most common planetary gears. The output side, which is a female serration and on the input side, this is a male serration.

That male serration is easily stack-able into a spacer  (learn about our planetary gear accessories here), which holds it into proper alignment. That's an important step. And now, we can easily put another gear together with the spacer in between.

In this case we have two 3-to-1s together, which gives you a 9 to 1 gear ratio. Our goal is to show you just how easy it is for our gears to be put together to get multiple high volume ratios. So that's a very important part of our gear structure.
