How Are Planetary Gears Used?

The variety and efficiency of Matex's planetary gears allow them to apply to be used in many applications across numerous industries. Our planetary gears can be used in something as delicate as medical applications, all the way to hoists / cranes and conveyors.

While planetary gears are used in many industries, and in many facets - today we're going to be looking at two real life applications of our planetary gears. The first, is in a hazardous duty bomb squad robot.

Planetary Gears: Military Use

Matex has been involved with the "bomb squad industry" for quite a few years. Our gears (in the photo above) are driving the wheels and tread, gears that drive the robotic arm, and the manipulator at the end and the cameras are using gears from Matex. 

When you are running a hazardous duty bomb squad robot, you need to make sure the parts are reliable. Our gears are very reliable and highly efficient.

More Uses for Planetary Gears

Another application for our planetary gears can be found in pumps. Fluid movement is one of the key industries we're involved in.
